Ellison Dawson

2014 NC Spot Festival Mini Princess

Wow what an exciting time it was that evening when I won my  crown just one year ago! I cannot believe it is that time, time my reign as your very first North Carolina Spot Festival Mini Princess comes to an end! It has been an honor to serve and represent the North Carolina Spot Festival and Town of Hampstead.
From dresses, to sparkle, to shoes, & updos, I have loved getting dressed up, being on stage, & wearing a sparkly crown, but let’s rem ember that is not what it is all about. Thank you to my mommy and daddy who allow me this opportunity to participate in pageants and the events associated with them. Thank you mommy for always making sure I look my best while reminding me to smile! You are my best friend! Throughout the year I have loved making new friends, being involved in the community, and best of all waving to others while riding in parades! To all my pageant sisters, it is hard to believe this time has come already, I hope each one of you have had as much fun as I have had if not more! Addison I love your spunkiness and sass! Kinley, I have really enjoyed being your pageant sister this year. Brooke, thanks for always being silly with me! Tammy Sue, you are always sure to bring out the smiles and laughs! And Victoria, I will always be thinking of you! I have had some of the sweetest pageant sisters this year. Thank you to our directors, Ms. Shannon and Kelly, and to all those who have made this year possible! To the next North Carolina Spot Festival Mini Princess enjoy your reign, the times you will share with your pageant sisters, and the time you spend representing your title! Until the next time I am your 2014-2015 North Carolina Spot Festival Mini Princess Ellison Harper Dawson!

2014 NC Spot Festival Tiny Princess

What a fun and exciting year it has been getting to wear my fancy crown! Spending the year as the North Carolina Spot Festival Tiny Princess has been the best because, what little girl doesn't want to be princess and sparkle?

I would like to say thank you to Mrs. Tiffany for helping me perfect my sassy and coaching me. Mrs. Shannon and Mrs. Kelly, thank you for giving me such a great year and making it fun. To my daddy and my little Buddy Jensen, I could never leave for an event without you both telling me how pretty I looked and hearing my favorite line "ooh, sassy"! I love you both! Mommy, thank you so much for the dresses, fixing my hair and especially the shiny lip gloss, you know how much I love that stuff!

What princess would be complete without her princess sisters? Kinley, I had so much fun with you this year and I'm glad I got to share my first reign with you, my very own sissy. Ellison, you are so cute and I love that we got to ride in the parades together. Brooke, I always got excited to see you at our events and if I could find a way to sit with you I was a happy girl. Victoria, I just really miss you. Tammy Sue, my very own Elsa! Thank you for being so sweet to me. I love you all! To the next little girl who wears the crown, best wishes for a wonderful year and dont forget to be sassy! Your 2014 North Carolina Spot Festival Tiny Princess, Addison Reese Moore.

Kinley Jordan

2014 NC Spot Festival Jr. Princess

It is so hard to believe that just one year ago I took the stage and earned my very first title. I feel so blessed to have spent the past year as the North Carolina Spot Festival Jr. Princess.  I have had the chance to experience so many wonderful things and make new friendships along the way.

This past year is definitely one to remember, afterall...it was my time to shine! I have so many people to thank and simply not enough time but to Mrs. Tiffany, Mrs Shannon and Mrs. Kelly, thank you for believing in me and pushing to me be my most fabulous self on that stage and throught out the year. Mama, curlers, bobby pins, blush, bows, dresses, and events...we made it! Thank you for making me feel like a princess, even without my crown.  Daddy and Jensen, I know that all this fancy stuff isn't exactly for you but you've always been supportive and I love you for that.

Addison, how cool was it to spend the year with my very own sister as a pageant sister? I was so happy for you when you won and I loved sharing all these memories with you. Ellison, you may be our Mini Princess but there is nothing mini about your personality and I always love watching you do your sassy poses. Brooke, thank you for always being so kind and looking out for me. I really enjoyed ice skating with you, it is one of my favorite memories from the year because we were all together. Victoria, you had the best smile. You will always be my sister and I miss you. Tammy Sue, I could always count on you to make sure I was being a proper princess and to make me laugh. You ladies will always hold a special place in my heart. To the upcoming court, best wishes and lots of love from your 2014 North Carolina Spot Festival Jr. Princess, Kinley Grace Jordan.

2014 NC Spot Festival Princess

Wow…I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I was crowned the 2014 NC Spot Festival Princess.  The saying is so true, time flies when you’re having fun.  It has been an exciting year as well as an emotional one.

First, I would like to thank Shannon and Kelly for keeping the Spot Festival pageant going after all these years.  The pageant and festival have been a tradition in Hampstead for over 50 years and I am grateful to be a part of it. To the NC Spot Festival organization and to my hometown of Hampstead, thank you for your generosity and support throughout the year.

To my Gamammy, thank you for loving me unconditionally and for being my buddy.

To my Mom, thank you for making sure I got to all my events and for all the beautiful dresses, and most importantly your patience!

To Daddy J, thank you for your guidance, love and support.

To my big brother Aaron, thank you for always having my back, I know little sisters can be annoying.

To my Dad, thank you for sponsoring me and I hope you know this is only the beginning.  I love you all!

And finally to my sister queens: Tammy Sue, Victoria, Kinley, Addison and Ellison; a special thank you for making this year unforgettable!

Forever,

Brooke

Mermaid

I look in the water and see, someone trapped but yet she is free. To her, she cares not of her life in the sea, but oh how I wish that she could be me!

To swim down under the glory below, enjoying God’s creatures wherever I go. Many fish swimmin’ round, blue and yellow and brown and one fish wears a golden crown!

She wishes desperately to walk on land; if I could I would give her all my sun and sand. In exchange for her life down under the deep, in her wonderful world of the ocean she keeps.
